"I Will Make The Time In 2009 To Serve"

    This week Pastor Hildreth continued his series in changing the way we view church.

The text was from Mark 10:43-45

Some key points from the sermon

  1. God ordained us to be in this country so we could be God's hand extended to the world.
  2. Being a servant is central to Christianity
  3. Ther comes a time to change the way we think.
  4. Blessings are not Rights, we must be servants of the LORD. He paid the price for us.
  5. Children will learn servanthood in the home.
  6. We must not come to church to be blessed, but to serve others, as Christ came to serve, and taught us.  Mark 9:35
  7. We should serve even more outside the doors of the church.
  8. Being a servant is risky
  9. Servants must be open to instruction "who are you to tell me what to do" is not the right attitude.
  10. We never outgrow the opportunity or obligation to serve
  11. When the Master calls, the servant moves.
